Marvel makes Captain Carter more powerful than Steve Rogers and Falcon

Warning: Contains spoilers for What if…? episode 9.

Marvel What if…? introduced a version of Peggy Carter who became a super soldier instead of Steve Rogers, and as Captain carter, she might be the strongest Super Soldier yet. Captain Carter may not have had as much to do as the original Captain America or Sam Wilson, but what little he has done lends credence to the idea that he is at the top.

The end of the first season of What if…? begins with Captain Carter going through the beginning of his version of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As in that movie, Captain Carter and Black Widow are tasked with rescuing SHIELD personnel kidnapped by a group of pirates led by one Georges Batroc, better known as Batroc the Leaper. Like Captain America before her, Captain Carter ends up in a one-on-one fight with Batroc where she willingly bites his bait to give up fighting with her shield and settle things with pure punches, Batroc the Jumper’s personal specialty. . This is when the difference in the strength levels of the different Captains becomes apparent.

Both Captain Carter and Captain America can defeat Batroc with relative ease despite not using their signature shields, but there are slight differences in their respective fights that could say a lot about their skill levels. Both before and after discarding his shield, Steve Martial Arts she couldn’t stop herself from taking multiple punches from Batroc throughout the fight, but for the entirety of her fight with Batroc, Peggy rarely took a hit as she dodged almost every attack he threw and was pretty much the only one to land between The hits. Both.

While no explicit comparison is made between the two captains, based on their performances, it’s easy to conclude that Peggy, at least at the time, was stronger than Steve at the same time. Similarly, the same can also be said when comparing the fight with Sam’s fight with Batroc on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where Sam had a much more even fight with Batroc and takes more hits than Steve and Peggy, even with his suit shield and accessories helping him.

It makes sense that Sam has a harder time dealing with Batroc, since he’s the only Captain who isn’t a Super Soldier, but as for Steve not quite up to Peggy, it could be a combination of Peggy possibly being more. strong due to being more physically fit than Steve, so serum was used and Batroc was just a powerful opponent, overall. Whatever the case, What if…? gives us possibly the strongest Super soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain Carter, and if he appears in the second season, his appearances are likely to exemplify that more easily.
