Mikaela Reid (advantages, tips and strategies)

The last Dead by daylight The survivor in need of a strategy guide, Mikaela Reid, is coming to the game on October 19 along with the chapter update 21.5. The next chapter of Dead by daylight, The Hour of the Witch, is unsurprisingly based around a Halloween theme.

Mikaela Reid looks like a character straight out of a Halloween movie: black outfit, long red hair, funky glasses and a hat fit for a witch. Mikaela’s backstory involves her father dying when she was 16 years old, leading her down a path of witchcraft and the occult.

Mikaela has three unique perks to her character in Dead by daylight. Like all characters in the game, Mikaela’s Survivor Perks can be used to gain an advantage over the Assassin. Mikaela’s advantages are centered on totems, similar to the Killer The Hag Hex Totems when she was released. Traditionally, only assassins could use totems to make survival difficult. Hex Totem’s effects linger until cleared by a Survivor. Mikaela’s abilities allow her to bless and use totems, including Hex Totems, turning them into Boon Totems that benefit the entire Survivor team.

The following benefits will be available to Mikaela Reid after the launch of the character in Dead by daylight:

Clairvoyance: This is an intrinsic energy in a Survivor who sees beyond his vision. Clairvoyance is activated each time a survivor cleans a totem. When you’re empty-handed, press and hold the skill button to unlock full aura reading potential. For up to 10 seconds, Survivors can see the auras of exit door switches, generators, hooks, and chests within 64 meters. Teachable at level 30.

Blessing: Circle of Healing: A blessing that offers comfort in the midst of terror. Press and hold the skill button near a blunt or evil totem to bless it and create a blessing totem. The soft bells ring in a range of 28 meters. Any Survivor within range of the Blessing Totem gains a 100% healing speed bonus and can heal themselves without the need for a medic kit or perk. Survivors can only bless one totem at a time. All equipped blessing perks are active on each blessing totem. Teachable at level 35.

Blessing: Shadow Pass: A blessing that hides the truth. Press and hold the skill button near a blunt or evil totem to bless it and create a blessing totem. The soft bells ring in a range of 28 meters. Any Survivor within Boon Totem’s range will have their scratch marks and auras hidden from the Assassin. This effect persists for 4 seconds after leaving Boon Totem’s range. Survivors can only bless one totem at a time. All equipped blessing perks are active on each blessing totem. Teachable at level 40.

Boon: Circle of Healing and Boon: Shadow Step are immensely useful for group play. If players are near a healing blessing circle totem, they can all heal themselves at 200% healing speed without a medic kit. Using this ability after unhooking a teammate and losing the assassin can make the getaway much smoother.

Using Boon: Shadow Step can also make a getaway smoother. Scratch marks and player auras are hidden near this totem, which hides the movements of fleeing players. Lastly, clairvoyance is a simple skill. Players should use Clairvoyance when given the opportunity and keep moving afterward. Searching for a totem for Clairvoyance is not particularly useful, so Survivors can simply activate it when the opportunity arises. If the players are Playing Dead by daylight only or with friends, Mikaela is a great addition to the Survivor team.
